Brown beech mushroom
Buna-Shimeji
Add a full, crisp flavour to your Eastern wok dish or salad; also maintains its structure well after preparation.
Description
De brown beech mushroom is a darker version of the white beech mushroom and is also grown on beech wood sawdust. Just like the chestnut mushroom, this brown beech mushroom has a fuller flavour than the white beech mushroom. The mushroom is slightly crunchy and nicely retains its structure after cooking. Beech mushrooms are sold both in bundles and separately. The bundles will usually still have a piece of the substrate attached. This can easily be cut away before cooking. The beech mushroom has a long shelf-life and fits well in both the European and Asian mushroom mixes.
